LaborBerlin is happy to invite you all on the 20th of November to Kaos Camping’s presentation in Wiesenstraße 29 at S.P.A.C.E., the residency space that LaborBerlin is running in the context of the SPECTRAL project.

Kaos Camping will present their project “Total Blackout for Our Peace of Mind”,  a performance which is a reflection of the economic and social crises of our time. During the performance, a number of analog projectors will be used to screen parallel and self-produced super 8mm and 16mm films with musical accompaniment to create a kind of expanded cinema.

For 30 years Kornel Szilagyi has been working as co-director in the artistic duo called Igor and Ivan Buharov. Their works are based on analogue film techniques, making short and feature films on super 8 mm, 16 mm, 35mm films for cinema distribution and as multichannel film installations for art spaces, exhibitions, biennales and performances. Their main topics with avantgarde storytelling style are revolution, anarchism and education, always balancing on the boundary of dreams and reality.
Since the beginning of the 2000s he has been a member of the visual artists collective Kaos Camping: an Hungarian art group of visual artists and filmmakers that has been performing for 25 years.
